G3 Problems

Hi, Iam new to macs, (work with pcs!) And new to the forum.

I got a beige G3 given by a friend so i could have a play. But on the condition that i got some data off for them. As it doesnt have a cdwriter i took the hard drive out and put it into my pc machine to try to drag the files across onto the writer on there.

But i found that this would not work (i didnt really think it would!) but now when that drive is back in the g3 all i get is a flashing question mark on a disk. I persume putting it in the pc has damaged the boot sector. I have no 9 media so is there a way to repair it.

Also i bought on ebay os10.2 but the machine was given without a monitor and the only mac monitor i have is an old LS 8" screen, which works but the ox install window is off screen and cant be moved so i can get to the buttons. Is there any way to 'tab' through the windows to get to the buttons.

Hope someone can help to at least get something to work!

Try resetting the PRAM...

Hold the CMD (Apple) + OPTION + P + R keys down simultaneously while powering on the machine. Wait until you hear the chime aafter it reboots to release.
