| EyeTV I need a tv for the office and I figured why not use the powerbook screen since I dont use it anyway. I looked into eyetv but I still have some questions on it. Is there any hardware to install on the mac? Whats the quality of the picture like? Is there a long delay of picture? As far as recording goes, does the upgraded system that does the recording give you a nice picture quality, because I read reviews that said recording is in low resolution but I wasnt sure if that meant with the base eyetv model or the upgraded dvr one. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

| There are several models. I own an Eye TV 200 which I believe is the lowest priced (excpt for the ATI type). The quality of the picture and recordings depend on the preference settings. Have not observed any delay at all. The recording at the better setting is certainly not low resolution. Try progressive scan as well. You may need to read a bit to learn about the options if you know little about codecs and video options. acko |
