Popcorn issue

I use MTR to rip the DVD and then save it to a folder on my desktop...I then open popcorn and point it to the video_ts folder (as I did always in the past) and it starts the burn but it says the name of the folder (MTR created) is something really weird like "madagascar_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _" (dashes are included in the name even though I did not choose that naming convention).

I then open the newly burned DVD and it has a video TS folder and an Audio TS folder with all the VOB's INSTEAD of the DVD I tried to burn. What happened? why is this doing this with all my rips/burns now? did I change something?

is there something I am doing wrong in MTR(using most current version) or some setting in popcorn I cahnged cuase this use to work just a few days ago (I backed up my version of COrpse Bride)? I am really REALLY a newbie to all of this and do not know why suddenly I cannot rip properly or burn properly.

also, on my PC I end with an ISO image on a Mac what image ends up being the one popcorn burns to a DVD?

How can I use popcorn to successfully burn and image that I can then use disk utility to burn to a DVD that will play _________________
