PGP-related problem

I use a PowerPC G5 Mac with MacOS X 10.3.9 and Mail 1.3.11. A couple of weeks ago I installed a trial version of PGP 9.0.5. Since then I've had problems accessing my mail accounts. After an hour or so Mail is no longer able to connect, either using POP or IMAP, assumes there is no working Internet connection in place and puts itself in offline mode. It is also unable to send outgoing messages. The only workaround I have found so far (short of uninstalling PGP, which solves the problem but unfortunately isn't an option) is simply to restart the computer every time this happens.

Does anyone know how to fix this?
