My filesharing programs won't open.

My app was working fine then I did a system update and then tried opening it again and it bounces twice like its trying to open then dissapears. The same happens with x-factor. The last update i did was softwareupdate 2006-001 and the itunes 6.04(3). I checked my system for other updates but there were none needed. I also downloaded JavaUpdateMacOSXv10.3.9.dmg and that did not work either. In my console this is logged after i attempted to open xfactor:

i searched the net hoping to find out if there was a current glitch in the software i just updated but have not had any success.

this happens to me too. I just updated to 10.4.6, and now when I try opening azureus it bounces once and then stops. I tried opening cyberduck, same thing. Some applications opens, and some don't. What is this?
