| 450mhz G4 won't read DVD+RW I want to update my 450 mhz G4 to OSX Tiger. The G4 has a DVD ROM drive. I have a copy of the new system software on a DVD+RW disc. The DVD Rom drive won't read it. Any suggestions on how to get the drive to read this DVD+RW? Is there a way to make a copy of the DVD+RW to an external drive and then install it on the G4? Help! Thank, Big |

| Apple has never released the system on DVD+RW. I assume before answering that somehow, you made a legal backup of a system disc with a valid license. If that's not the case, stop reading and go buy a legit copy of Tiger. Well, the only way you're going to read that disc is to buy a new dvd drive. Here's a $36 Dual Layer Burner. There are also plenty of other deals to be found thru the linked site. Thankfully, they've become very very affordable.
