| Anyone Else Having Problems with Safari Lately? Apple is REALLY starting to piss me off. Every time I use Safari lately, it crashes. Almost EVERY DAY. Why does it keep doing this??? Is anyone else having this problem? If anyone has any solutions, please fire away! By the way, I've already done the typical: Reboot Reset Safari Ran OnyX (clear browser's icons, cache, etc.) Repair permissions Etc.

| There's lots of 'typical' things to try beyond that short list. I would start by removing the com.apple.quicktime.plugin.preferences.plist file from your user/Library/preferences folder. This has been around a long time for OS X, and often helps a glitchy Safari Have you tried: creating a fresh user, and work with Safari in that user for a while to check for problems? I consider Safari 2 enough better, that it makes upgrading to Tiger worthwhile just for that- just my opinion.

| Thought Just a thought - do the problems coincide with any new applications you might have installed recently?

| I have had Safari get flaky on me. I trash the plist, as DeltaMac suggests, and all is good. |

| When I was using 10.3.9 I used a script to quit Safari that cleared the Caches and the com.apple.quicktime.plugin.preferences.plist. This cured the crashing for me.

| I'm confused. You all keep referring to the com.apple.quicktime.plugin.preferences.plist file. Looks like a QuickTime preference file by the name, not a Safari preference file. Shouldn't I be trashing the Safari .plist since that's the problematic app, not QuickTime???

| The com.apple.quicktime.plugin.preferences.plist file is a known issue causing a problem with Safari in 10.3 systems.
