Convert DVD for quicktime, etc... -LEGITIMATE Hi, I need to convert a DVD so I can import it into a program (after Effects 6.5) and output for inclusion in Flash. I used Mactheripper, but I can't encode this to a format I need, such as mpeg4, .mov, etc... Any advice? Info: This dvd was made by folks at my job, but I do not have access to the source footage. It's a legit deal, I'm not trying to pirate anything. It's a work related project (I work in a university) Many Thanks, J

The short answer: Use Handbrake to convert the DVD straight to MPEG4, or use ffmpegX to convert the VIDEO_TS folder you got from Mac The Ripper. Handbrake is easier. ffmpegX is more powerful and reliable. There's been a lot of discussion on this in the past, so use the search feature if my short answer isn't long enough. ![]()

Thank You for the software advice. I'll be sure and search first, ask later next time. Thanks again, ~J
