Smile Flip4Mac (Universal) due V soon

Hi all,

Just in case anyone's interested (and doesn't know), there's a new press release on the Flip4Mac website that says that Universal support is coming in the next few weeks:

Well, you should have been able to watch AVI/Divx movies in FrontRow before just fine, with the Divx codec. I don't think Flip4Mac contains an Divx decoder, so I don't think it's responsible.

Flip4Mac will let you play WMVs and other file types (like AVI) that use Windows Media Video and/or Windows Media audio in any QuickTime-based player. That includes FrontRow.

There _is_ a beta for Flip4Mac floating around, but the distribution of it would be illegal, I guess, since it's not a public beta.

It's out today! As noted this evening by TUAW, the Universal Binary of Flip4Mac Windows Media Components for QuickTime is available for download from Microsoft.
