Find IP Address from iChat/AIM login?

I recently had my computer stolen that logs into ichat/aim on startup... is there any way to find the IP addresses that my account has been logged in from? either from ichat or aol? Any help appreciated. Thanks

Not that I know of. Are you using a .Mac or an AOL account? If it's .Mac, you'd have to ask Apple, probably, if AOL, ask AOL. But the real thing to do would probably to report it stolen (to the police) with the _hint_ that tracing the IP address could be helpful to find the "new owner".

Sounds like this might help...

http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/12017

WARNING:
The caveat to this utility is that it requires a "direct connection" in order to work... and, I think iChat will automatically accept a direct connections... unfortunately, I think that means you will have to message yourself a picture in order to create a direct connection.... and a message appearing on the screen might give away the fact that your stolen Mac automatically signs on... and that might prompt the Mac-stealing bastard to figure out how to turn it off.... thus cutting off all possibilty of finding it...

I'd go with the police route, first.

Hmm... the download link doesn't work anymore.... Well, you can still download it from C-net...
