Unhappy Finder Quits With Hotkey Command

hello,

so maybe some of you people will know the answer to this as i am relatively new to the MAC world, having only owned one for about eight months. a friend of mine recommended me to download a proram from verstiontracker.com called cocktail. to assist in keeping my system clean and running well. i downloaded it and then found that when i use the command+Q to quit out of an application if i have no application selected and only the finder my MAC will quit out of the finder. it is still in the dock and so all i have to do is click it to open it, this has only been happening since i used the cocktail thing. im slightly confused and dont exactly know how to stop it from happening... its not a major issue just an inconvinience.

I'm running a 15" Powerbook G4 with Mac OS X Tiger. thank you anyone for any advice... and keep in mind that if you leave me advice you may need to point me in the right direction to get me started. thanx.

It sounds like you've enabled some option in Cocktail to be able to quit the Finder. Poke around (or read the help files) from within Cocktail and see if you don't have that option enabled.

Normally you should not be able to quit the Finder, but I believe Cocktail has a preference that allows you to do so.
