Epson 785EXP and Scnr 1260 work in Tiger

I just upgraded my op system and now no matter what I do I seem to lack the ability to use my printer or scanner in 10.4.7 Tiger. Is Epson behind on the driver for this? Just wondering or is there a fix? A new driver is up for 10.4, but it refers to intel macs only?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
