macbook pro color is wrong...

Hey guys I have a really weird problem, When ever I create a image in photoshop lets say color code: #424242 it is ALOT darker than in dreameweaver #424242. I want to get my photoshop corrected to look like the color dreamweaver outputs, because its the same color as #424242 on my windows pc... Below is a image of color code #424242 in both photoshop and dreamweaver.. note how they're towo totally different shades.. I need to get photoshop to look like the dreamweaver color, HELP!!

Experiment with the Color Settings in Photoshop.

Edit Menu: Color Settings, Assign Profile, Convert Profile

Once you understand which profile gives you the result you need you can make it your default.

Another idea is to get a Spyder2 express and perform a calibration. This should ease your frustration across the board. If this does not correct your problem than what Simbalala says is correct as well. I find that most displays (no matter who the vendor) are way off from D65. This is essential for correct color and grayscale in video, film and even photos.
