| OS 9.x .img files in Tiger Hello: New here. Does anyone know how to mount old .img files in Tiger? Thanks for any assistance! |

| You should be able to double-click them and have them mount on the desktop. Are you not able to do this -- if so, what happens (error messages, etc.)?

| Disk Utility et al., report the .img file is not recognized. These .img files were created in OS 9. I'm running Tiger 10.4.8 on a Mini Core Duo. Strange, Get Info recognizes the files. |

| MacOS X 10.4.8 should have no problems mounting .img disk images created using the MacOS 9 version of Disk Copy. If it has problems, either the files or the installation of DiskImageMounter is corrupt. Most likely, it is the former. It may be possible to repair them if you open them in Disk Utilities. |
