Can iMac OS X software be installed on Quicksilver G4?

I just bought an iMac with the Intel Core processor, and I was wondering if anyone knew if the OS 10.4.7 software that came with the iMac can be installed on a non-Intel processor like a Quicksilver G4.

There seems to be 2 versions of OS 10.4.x updates on the Apple website, one for Intel and one for PowerPC. Makes me think it's not possible.

Thx.

The answer to your question is two-fold. The software that came with your new Imac is system specific, and is licensed to work only with that model. You would have to purchase another version of OSX for your G4.
