Ichat issue

im sure this comes up time and time again on this message board about how people cant communicate with each other on ichat.

So why is it having communicated with someone on ichat via video that 20 minutes later when we try to communicate it wont work? im using a PPC G5 Imac 1.9ghz and the other user is using an Intel Imac 2ghz.
