how do I look at annimated .gif images? [in mac]

How do I look at animated .gif images in mac OS X? When I open them in "PREVIEW" they don't move. HELP

QuickTime Player will also play them (with much better performance than Safari, but that really only matters for very large/fast animations).

Xee is a fantastic free viewer for many image types. I've set it as my default for all my GIFs, PNGs and JPEGs because it starts quickly and allows you to both play an animation, or step through the frames at will.

Also, (shareware) GraphicConverter.

It can be used to create, edit, and / or view animated GIF files.
