venomous BMz is on a distinguished road
Dvds come out with choppy edges/motion!

Ok so ive had my mac for about 3-4 months now, I love it like hell definatley better then PC never had any problems with it breaking down or anything. Always runs smooth etc...

My problem is DVD burning I use DVD-R JVC and they burn fine ( I use iDVD and Toast Titanium). The problem is that my DVD's always seem to come out choppy, Ive been trying to fix this problem for months and i can't seem to figure out what it is...
I burn AVI's to dvds and watch them on a 27" LCD. Well i thought to myself maybe its the TV? Nope i tried all the tv's in my house same result. I even plopped it in my Imac g5 and it played with the choppy edges. These choppy edges appear very distinctly when there is a lot of motion in a film. Today i tried something new i exported a sample clip to .MOV from .AVI and it seemed to look perfect like it should when i burned it to a DVD.
So is the problem that my Mac doesnt burn .AVI's clearly, I guess it will only burn .MOV. I do have friends with Imacs and they dotn h ave this problem at all, Its really upsetting cause it takes about 10 hours for a 2 hour movie to export to .MOV just to burn it. I would be pleased if you guys would please tell me an answer to this, because choppy edges ruins my whole movie watching experience. I know there has to be something that is not letting me burn .AVI's correctly to DVD. I really hope this isnt a internal problem with my DVD burner cause new external ones are about 200 bucks. Could you guys please look into this for me,

Thanks all help appreciated, Kevin L. Oregon
