Burning a cd image

i want to burn a .img file on a dvd i tried using toast but it doesnt support image files, i know nero works but nero isnt for mac, so what sorftware do i need

It's in Applications/Utilities folder.

Drag the .IMG file to the left-hand sidebar device list in Disk Utility. It should appear there in the list -- highlight it, click the "Burn" icon in the upper-right hand corner (I believe) of Disk Utility, and away you go.
