The Monkey is on a distinguished road
Finder unresponsive after Remote Desktop

Hi there.

Here is a problem I have seen very often on multiple computers using multiple OSs from OSX 10.4 server to Tiger.

After having remote desktop open for an extended period of time, the finder becomes very unresponsive, to the point where the mouse can fly over the dock and nothing will happen for 2 seconds or more, and selecting menu items from the menu bar at the very top of the screen won't highlight what I scroll over like it usually does. This only occurs on the machine the Remote Desktop application was launched on.

Nothing seems to repair this issue, including restart, and deleting remote desktop prefs and even completely reinstalling remote desktop. Previously I have fixed it by erasing the hard drive and reinstalling the operating system.

As this isn't a viable solution, i'm desperate to find out what is happening!

Thanks to anyone who can help!
Michael
