| Hello, I have a little problem and hopefully someone can help. I went to install a font for one of the User's that has the Intel Core Duo MAC. She needed a font called Antiqua installed for a project that she was working on. I went ahead and installed the font in the the FontBook and it does say that the font was installed. When she launches Indesign and tries to use that font, it is no where to befound nor can I use that font. I am not sure what I am doing wrong? I went intot he library folder and it shows up in the font's folder and I also went into the Users profile to make sure that the font was there and it is available and installed. I am not sure what else to try to get this font tobe recognized in InDesign? Can I change the location of the font's folder in InDesign? Please Help! ![]() |

| Howdy! I normally store all non-system fonts in a folder only one layer deep in the Hard drive called 'MY FONTS' or the like. Keeps things simple and avoids system font conflicts. Don't do anything with InDesign's FONT folder. Your other problem is Font Book. It's not a professional grade font app (some might disagree). Try restarting and see if the font shows up. If not, try repairing permissions. If neither option works you may just have a corrupt font. What type of font is it? Macs do run almost any font, but there are some that don't work... Finally, I recommend the free app FontExplorer by Linotype (http://www.linotype.com/fontexplorer) because it's so great! I've used it for the past year or so and had almost no problems (was using Suitcase before). It's a more pro-grade font app.
