| Strange button on desktop - what is it? The weirdest thing happened to me on returning from vacation today. My Mac had been off, and when I logged in I noticed this big button on the topright corner. ![]() Because I was curious, I clicked on it. All my loginitems were still starting, and my computer freaked out, acting all crazy, applications crashing left and right, including the finder. I managed to restart, but it is still there, even when I turn off all my startup items. I have not had any problems with crashing etc. Where is this coming from? Any ideas? | View '10.3: Enable the floating Exposé blob', and its referenced article - 'Hidden Dock Feature'. |

| ah, so it's not a creepy infection of some sort. now that you mention it, I used cocktail to tweak some of the interface settings but probably didn't shut down the machine before I went on vacation and so totally forgot. duh. thanks for clearing that up for me! |
