Stuffit 11.02 crashes finder how do I uninstall it?

After installing Stuffit delux 11.02 finder keeps crashing after I right click on a folder at random. I see other people have had the same problem. So how in the world do I uninstall it since it integrates itself into finder? I can't just drag and drop the folder to the trash and there is no uninstall feature in the install program.

Mister.. he is complaining about crashing finder when "right-clicking" meaning the contextual menus crash the finder, not stuffit.

Dragging it in the trash will not solve anything, deleting the application but not removing the integration into finder.

Just remove the stuffit contextual menu (Stuffit.plugin) from
/library/contextual menu items and/or
/Users/yourHomeFolder/library/contextual menu items
folder.

regards,

Andreas

bobw has a spectacular aura aboutbobw has a spectacular aura about
StuffItCM.plugin (in /Library/Contextual Menu Items) is probably causing the crash.

Patch available here;

ftp://ftp.smithmicro.com/stuffit/stuffitcm.plugin.zip

To apply the patch, do the following:
Download the patch.
Unzip the StuffitCM.plugin.zip file.
Go to your Mac's /Library/Contextual Menu Items folder.
Delete the existing StuffitCM.plugin file.
Insert the new StuffitCM.plugin file.
Log out then back in.
