| Backup my entire mac osx partition Is there any way to backup my mac osx hard drive to dvd, incase anything goes wrong. So I can restore. Like Acronis or ghost for windows. Thanks |

| You would be better off doing this with an external Firewire drive and using SuperDuper to clone the entire drive, rather than DVD's. You would be able to boot off the external drive if needed.

| In case you do not like to spend $28, for SuperDuper, tryrdiff-backup . I guess it does not make the disk bootable, and there is no pretty GUI, but are they worth the $28 ? But yes, I feel also that DVD is not good for full backup. I tried that on my PC, but it was hard. |

| FWIW I just cloned my entire OSX drive to a new internal drive using Prosoft "Data Backup" which I was given as a Christmas present. No problems with it. It just worked.
