Adium gets out of beta!

It's been at least 45 years, but Adium is finally at version 1.0!!!

This is crazy, next you'll be telling me VLC has hit 1.0

Seriously, good news, the Adium devs are great guys, more power to them. I think I first used Adium in the old 1.6 series before they switched to being AdiumX and dropped back to sub 1.0. Seriously great software, and if it did vid chat It's be pretty much unarguably the best chat software on Mac. I've already downloaded it and will mess around with it later on. I must donate to those guys actually.

Ah, a final version. Now's the time for me to try it out again. It still feels a little awkward in places, but overall I like it. And the fact that it can now send and receive files as well is a very good thing indeed. I just hate the icon. Five colour options? Give me one without that duck, please.

Haha yea, the duck I've always thought was a bit gaudy. People seem to like it though. I personally use the 3-D cube icon called "Woblo"; It's a nifty change from the quacker...

Frkye: You can get different dock icons here (plus the same site hosts contact list styles, message window styles etc)
