| Hi guys, i'm getting mad to solve this problem with flash player 9, here is what happened. I got some swf files I wanted to play but I had to open each one on safari, so I went to adobe website and looked for a player and downloaded it (flash player 9). I already had the safari flash plugin installed and everything was working fine. Here is where all problem started, the plugin was not recognised anymore, I couldn't load flash animations on any website, I downloaded firefox hoping that it will help me solving this problem by installing it again but it sent me to the same dowload page. I looked for an unistaller, and found it on adobe site again, run it, reboot, install again, reboot, and still not working. Well, firefox was useless, so I deleted it, tried flash unistall again and told me about permission errors.. checked with the adobe website, found the solution, now it's installing and unistalling properly but still doesn't work. I also deleted the quicktime plugin as adviced from one guy in another forum, he had the same problem and said there was a conflict.. but flash is still not working. I really don't know what else I can do, the unistaller seems to work, but when i look for the plugins, they're still there, if I delete them then the installer wont work.. I'm really lost and well, I need the flash plugin, can anyone help? My configuration: Mac OSX 10.4.8 Macbookpro 15" 2.33 GHz Intel Core Duo Memory: 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM PS: in case you ask, I did get the intel based Flash Player and all my softwares are up-to-dateLast edited by Box; February 4th, 2007 at 06:24 AM. | well, got the solution.. I'll explain it anyway so if you have the same issue you'll know the answer. I made permission check on the disc and the flash files were all wrong, so i run the repair utility, then the unistaller and restarted, then I run the installer again and now it's working fine! Thanks anyway ![]() |
