Unhappy microsoft office

Hi,

I have a mac osx 10.4.9 that a friend gave to me. It used to have word, excel, pp and everything was great. My nephews came last week end, played with the computer and now these applications are gone.
The only links that I can find are in the library, the extension is Adobe imageready, and nothing can't be open. My old word documents now open with Text edit.
Did I loose these applications ans do I have a way to get them back.

Thanks

MisterMe will become famous soon enough
Look in the Trash. If your apps are there, then simply drag them back to their old locations. If your nephews emptied the Trash, then simply reinstall your apps from the distribution disks. Your old settings should be preserved.

Word to the Wise: MacOS X is a multiuser OS. Never ever under any circumstances allow anyone else to use your account. If you allow others to use your computer, setup a guest account with limited privleges for them.

When my 5 year old son want to use the iMac, I have him go under the account I created for him. That way, anything he messes up is under his name.

Of course, I'm a victim of my own ignorance since I left my account logged in the other day and noticed that some of my icons on the Dock were missing. Apparently, my 2 year old (who is quite handy at launching Firefox on the Ubuntu PC I set up) decided to play with the iMac. The fact that I was logged out of my IM sessions at work tipped me off that something was wrong. He had also apparently launched Adium, knocking me off of my accounts on Gaim at work.
