| Disable and app from starting up on log on Hi, I recently made the Microsoft Messenger for Mac app start-up on log-on, but I changed my mind and unchecked it after using it for some time like that. It still opens up when I log on, though, even though it is unchecked to start-up on log on. Is there any way to stop this? Thanks. |

| That's not what un-checking does. Hi-lite it and click the "minus" box to remove it.

| Do you mean Messenger is still in that list, even after you clicked on it to select it, and then clicked the (minus) to remove it? This should work, but make sure the padlock is showing unlocked in your Accounts pref pane. Messenger probably overrides system settings. Open Microsoft messenger, then preferences, go to the General tab, and _uncheck_ 'Automatically start Messenger when I start my computer'.
