Cannot print from Pages 2.02 (iWork 06)

I have never had any probelm previously but recently I cannot print direct from Pages 06. I can from other applications (Inc Keynote 06) and Pages can print to pdfs but not direct to the printer. I have tried trashing the plist but no change there. Oddly enough my printer (HP PSC 1510) was changed recently after developing a hardware fault and the problem only manifested after the changeover. Still it does print, scan & copy - only Pages seems to give it problems. Should I reinstall Pages of the HP driver/software?
Only other thing si t could be is that I upgraded from 10.48.8 to 10.4.9 a week or so ago? Still I diligently folllowe good process: booted from install disk, checked/repaired preferences; installed via software update then booted from install disk, checked/repaired preferences again.
Hardware setup is Mac Mini 1.66 core duo with 1gb ram & 100gb HD.
