| bluetooth I have a bluetooth cell phone, and have found my model on my computer, but havent exactly made them link up yet. Im not the most computer literate guy in the world, but I cant seem to get them to link up, at least not that I can tell. Any tips? Secondly, what is the benifit of getting these 2 linked? Im just wondering what cool things yall are doing with your cell/computer link. |

| To link them up, go into Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Bluetooth. You can then "Pair" the device. Once this link is established, you can: - Type an SMS or dial directly from Address Book. Just click the little Bluetooth icon on the top bar to connect. When you click on a phone number, you get the option to dial or to type an SMS message. - Synchronise your address book and iCal calendars by using iSync (you'll find it in your Applications folder). - Send files to your phone, for instance pictures or music files, by using BlueTooth File Exchange (found under Applications/Utilities). - Send files (eg photos) from your phone to your Mac. Just find the item, choose "Send" and then "by Bluetooth". You can configure how your Mac deals with files sent from your phone in System Preferences -> Bluetooth. - Use your mobile phone as a remote control for your Mac through the use of Salling Clicker or Romeo. - Depending on the phone you have, you may also be able to browse through your SMS messages, compose MMS messages, edit themes, and more. BluePhoneMenu, for instance, will give you caller display on your Mac's screen each time you get a call on your mobile. I have no less than six third-party programs for connecting to my Sony Erricsson T610.
