Consequences of Canceling .Mac

Hey Everyone,

I can't shell out the $100 for .mac this year, but I want to make sure I have my bases covered before I cancel. As I understand it, everything will disappear: my files on my iDisk, my mail account, my web site, etc. This actually isn't too big of a deal to me. One of the reasons I'm canceling is because I have used Google products much more than .mac in the past year.

However, Backup has been a pretty big part of my life. Am I right in understanding that Backup will cease to function, as well as all my Backup files (e.g. "*.IncrementalBackup" and "*.FullBackup")?

Do you think SuperDuper! would be an adequate replacement? I really think the combination of SuperDuper!, Gmail, and Google Docs will be just fine for me.

Thoughts? Am I forgetting anything? I'm hoping to get this all squared away in the next day or two.

Thanks,
Achates

Canceling .mac.com will also cancel Backup.

SuperDuper will work fine.
