| After reinstall osx not updating my i mac was geting slower day by day, tried installing 1gb ram in addition to 512mb got a transcend 1gb from an authorised apple dealer did a erase install after taking backup, installion was smooth but now i cant updte my osx or firm ware what can be the problem i also have one external firewire disk 250 gb plugged in , what can be the problem ? |

| Have you checked your network settings to make sure that they're working? GOod thing to do before wiping out your system is to make a note of all of the setings you've had before, such as network and DNS nameserver settings. You might have to contact your ISP for their nameserver information as well as any other network configuration settings so that you can access the Internet.
