paraglider is on a distinguished road
Question Logbook in OS X (paragliding)

Dear forum-friends,

As passionated paraglider I'm looking for OS X software to register my flights in a simple way. Unfortunately there is no such software available (donationware, freeware or shareware) with the same simplicity as what is on the Windows-platform.

I've noticed that there are a lot of entrepeneurs (mostly creative) active in my hobby/sport wordwide. So, a lot of them will work on a Mac.

Who will help me to take the challenge to program logbook software for the paragliding and hanggliding pilot? I'm completely lacking of any knowledge of programming in OS X. So this is the reason for my call on this forum.

The basics of this software you can find on the windows platform on:
http://www.rolX.de
http://home.comcast.net/~greglanz1/

With some extra's as:
- importing gps-tracks
- connection with Google Earth
- different kind reports

I do understand that there will be a lot of questions. I gladly will give more information and wishes if someone is seriously interested to program this software.

Important items further are:
- copy rights?
- user interface design?
- translations?

When I'm not flying, I'm graphic and web designer. So I can help you design the user interface design. Also I have a lot of connections in paragliding world wide. And of course I can help you with the information to make a lean and mean logbook application.... With the help of you I can introduce this OS X application as freeware (for example: no gps import) or maybe as shareware (for example: with gps import).

All right, a nifty piece of software with possibilities.....

Can anyone help me / work with me?

Thanks!
