Firefox RIP extension not removing Flash

I am trying to get the Remove It Permanently extension for Firefox to remove a SWF item from a website, and it does not work (at least, not permanently). When I reload the page, the item comes right back. Is there something special about Flash that prevents RIP from removing it?
