Iphoto import

How do I turn off auto inport of photos from my camera in Iphoto, I have looked in the help files and a book on Iphoto no help. Can some help me do not use Iphoto anymore just Lightroom and CS3 extended.

Apple has sometimes done this, by providing default settings in not-quite obvious places.

You can change the Camera/application in the preferences for the Image Capture app. You can change to any app to open when you attach a digital camera, or plugging in a camera card into a reader will often trigger that same app.
