| Illustrator File previews I am having an issue with illustrator file previews (preview column in finder, not Preview.app) We have two Macs in our department one running 10.4.9, one running 10.2.8. Both have Illustrator 8 installed. One has Illustrator CS, one has Illustrator 10. The computer running 10.2.8 (Illustrator 10) will display previews of illustrator files in Finder - They list a "Type" of "Adobe Illustrator Document". The computer running 10.4.9 (Illustrator CS2) will not display previews of Illustrator files. It will however display previews of PSD's, JPG's, TIF's, PDF's, etc. The "Type" is listed as "Text File". I tried to get info and change the file type to Illustrator but the default application for the file was already listed as Illustator CS2. |

| The _same_ Illu files? Illustrator 8's ".ai" files are completely different from Illu CS' ".ai" files. Illu 10's files are already PDF-based AFAIK, but probably in format that OS X' PDF facility can read without a problem. This might be different in newer versions. I haven't checked since I never use Finder's preview for Illustrator files, anyway...
