PBear is on a distinguished road
Photoshop Elements 4.0 Macintosh

Is there a trial download somewhere?
I looked in adobe.com and one wasn't listed.

OT question, what's a good program that is a stand in between a digital camera and iPhoto?
I would like to preview my photos before importing them to iPhoto 5.

MisterMe will become famous soon enough
If your camera supports USB Automount, then you it will appear as a mounted volume on your Desktop when attach it to your computer. You can then use the Finder or and other application to browse the camera's directory (folder) hierarchy. GraphicConverter and Photoshop Elements will do the trick. Preview will also do the trick. You can also enable thumbnails to preview the pictures in the Finder.

A simple fix.

ctrl+click on the desktop >Show View Options> check "Show icon Preview"

Then with the finder open you should see the mounted "Your Digital CAMERA" in the SIDEBAR.

Click it and navigate through your images that are on "Your Digital CAMERA"
It should be that easy! As MisterMe wrote above!

Let us know if you need more help.
