| Video streaming Hello, I would like to look at the NBA.com video stream but seem to fail at doing so. Their support page says to use the flip4mac plug-in or to install firefox. I tried both, but they do not work. Has anyone successfully managed to watch the NBA.com streams on their macs? if so mind to share the secret of success? Cheers

| Hm.... interesting. Safari loads it black for me. Firefox .. I don't want to allow doubleclick cookies so not testing further - no results there. In VMware Fusion, I tested the site in IE in XP Pro, and there I got a complaint about ActiveX control for Adobe FlashPlayer ... too lazy to install. When I try to view some NBA video in Safari, it opens the popup, but video stays black, and I get it for all videos. But when on that popup window I view source, e.g. Code: <html lang="en"><head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8"><title></title><script type="text/javascript">
var first_play = 1;
var external_playlist_url = 0;
var qContentPath = "http://boss.streamos.com/wmedia/nba/nbacom/nbatv/nash_charity_event_070727.asx";
var myGeoTeams = new Array();
strgeoTeams = "";
myGeoTeams = strgeoTeams.split(",");
</script> There are a huge amount of javascripts on NBA site, perhaps some of those are calling something that works only in IE. :-/ |

| Interesting that I was able to the videos to play in Camino (once I turned off pop-up blocking). This is a case of bad web site design. Try using FireFox or Camino and see if you play the videos.

| Hi, Thanks for the input, there does seem to be some issue around the javascript as I also successfully could view the video by entering the url directly. I did not try camino so I cannot comment here. Cheers
