Angry Quicktime question marks on websites?

So I have this ridiculous problem that I cannot just solve.

While visiting pandora.com , yahoo.com, and other websites that use the quicktime flash plugin, I get a faded quicktime logo with a question mark on it.

I cannot listen to music from pandora anymore, nor watch videos from yahoo and i also kinda miss the annoying embeded flash ads on the corner of pages....

why am I getting this question mark.
I tried re installing quicktime but nothing... did the whole thing from system preferences and nothing seems to be wrong...

please help

Try going to your System Preferences, and under Quicktime / Advanced / MIME Setting, Click 'Use Defaults'. This happened to me a while back, I had the 'Flash Media' box checked (should be unchecked) under 'Miscellaneous'.
