Hotmail Now "Windows Live": Anyone Else Having Problems w/Adium on Hotmail Account?

This sucks. Apparently, Hotmail is now called "Windows Live." Ugh. And, although I can still sign in to check my e-mail with my same user name and password, the site is now a LOT slower, and now Adium won't connect with my Hotmail account on chat. Anyone else having this problem?

I'm not having any problems with it so far, either on Adium or Pidgin. And yes, the Windows Live Hotmail is much slower because of all the "web 2.0" AJAX/Javascript/godknowswhatelse that's being used. I want my web 0.9 back!

Well, yah. Like I said, it's still Hotmail (same account), but now it's called "Windows Live." I didn't think it was necessary to add the "Hotmail" part (I thought that part was obvious--guess not! LOL).

OK, Adium seems to be connecting with my Hotmail (oops, excuse me, "Windows Live Hotmail, ooooh fancy!) account now. I guess it took a while before they ironed out all the kinks. Whether the kinks were on Hotmail's part or Adium's part, I do not know. But it's working now.

FYI - gmail has never had a hiccup for me, and it's not owned by Microsoft.

A lot of people come to this forum and give incomplete or incorrect information while asking for help. Many products and services have names which differ in only subtle ways. If you give the exact and complete name, you will cause less confusion.
