iSync unknown error

My sync with my Nokia N70 is failing every time now.
I had stopped syncing all day events a few weeks ago since that had already started crashing it every time.
Now it will not sync at all.
I tried hard reseting the phone, restarting the macbook, resetting the sync history in iSync prefs, resetting the phone from the iSync devices menu, deleting the SyncServices folder (in ~/Library/Application Support/), deleting the Bluetooth pairing from Bluetooth Preferences and the phone, removing the phone in iSync, and confirmed that ~/Library/Phones/ was empty. I also deleted com.apple.Bluetooth.plist and com.apple.isync.plist from ~/Library/Preferences and syncState.plist and sync.plist from ~/Application Support/iCal

All this in sequence and then I added the phone again and got the same error. I know the phone is fine, because I synced the same data from another computer successfully to it without reseting anything! Obviously I have got some sort of sync data corruption and the deletions I described have not eliminated it. Any further ideas anyone?

Many thanks

Martyn Barnes
