iCal invite error message

I've received some Google Calendar requests for events to be added to my calendar. In iCal, whenever I click on them, I get this message:

"Someone invited you to an event using an email address that isn’t on your “me” card in Address Book. Find your email address in the following list and add it to your card in Address Book."

Although the error messages reference a list, there is no list included.

Only options are to Cancel, which goes back to it being treated as unread, Clear Notiification, which completely deletes it, or Open Address Book, so you can add whatever email is causing the issue.

I've checked my address book, and the email address the events are coming to is in my "Me" card in Address Book. What gives? I'm just having to clear all these out -- sadly -- and manually calendar them because I can't make them work.
