Address Book missing contacts

Hi guys,

First time user long time reader here. A colleague at work was having safari issues with her laptop today, so i updated her from to tiger 10.4.10 - 10.4.11

The initial problems were sorted with the update, though when she went to use address book, all her contacts were gone.

I know they are listed in the directory with a *.abcdp extension here;

~/library/caches/com.apple.addressbook.metadata/*.abcdp


Though when checking in that directory there are no files there. Surely the 10.4.11 update didn't delete them, though they dissapeared after restart.

Anyone have any suggestions as to where they could have gone or a fix for this problem?
