How could I integrate iCal and Numbers, if at all?

As a freelancer I maintain a paper/pencil diary of my jobs, if I've invoiced, and if they've been paid yet. I also maintain my diary of engagements on iCal and iPod touch but I only use these to note the dates of work, rather than adding the invoicing details as well.

I'd like to get all of this on my computer and was hoping to use Numbers with iCal in order to create a spreadsheet of all my jobs, dates, invoice number and if paid yet.

I was hoping to be able to import all the actual job names and dates from iCal, then do the rest by hand. Is this possible?

Also, would it be possible to associate a job with another Numbers invoicing page, to further automate the process?

Cheers,
Owen
