| Custom installer? Hi, Could anyone let me know if there is any application for tiger that allows you to make custom installs? I use my mac for a music studio and when I have to reformat installing all the plugs-ins and programs takes along time, I wonder is there is anyway I could automate this? Or could I back up the whole drive? Any advice would be great. Thanks |

| Sounds like you do this often - What kind of problems lead to to the conclusion that you have to erase and reinstall everything? This is quite unusual to do this more than once or twice on any Mac. There's some good backup software available - Carbon Copy Cloner is very good - http://www.bombich.com/software/ccc.html or SuperDuper http://www.shirt-pocket.com/SuperDup...scription.html but - you had a post just a couple of months ago with the same question - and similar responses. Are you currently having problems making a backup?

| If you have several Macs to need to install daily, then I might consider making a NetInstall image with OS X Server. That allows customization, (but is worth considering only when you need to install the same image to a number of units, as in schools, offices, repair centers etc). |
