New Macbook Pro Internet connection slow

My new Macbook Pro (2.4Ghz, etc.) has problems dealing with my home internet connection. By problems I mean that my slightly older Macbook Pro surfs just fine without any real pauses. My new one, on the same network, will sometimes require me to click on the web address multiple times before it goes to that site. Is there something with the newer Macbook Pro's wireless cards that are different than the Macbook Pro's that were released in Feb. 2007?
