| I was downloading a podcast, ejected the ipod from itunes, removed the ipod and itunes locked up. I had to force-quit it twice, and when I got back into it I got this error msg: The iTunes Library file is locked, on a locked disk, or you do not have write permission for this file. I have run repair permissions and logged out and back in again. I followed with adaptations to advice at this page: http://www.macosxhints.com/article.p...30102060845695 to no avail. I have an eMac running the latest 10.4, with iTunes 7.5. My iPod is basically a CD until this is fixed. What is the best way to fix it? Regards, Mark Patterson |

| But you're never supposed to reboot a BSD system ![]() OK, I rebooted, and guess what -- it works again! I'm very pleased about that. Thanks for pointing me to the manual, so to speak. |
