| TextEdit Brand new to Mac. Long time PC user and lost confidence in Billy. Real reason is need for good dig photo processing. New Imac 10.4.7 No TextEdit in apps! Tried reinstalling IMac OSX and no joy. I use text notes a lot and wonder where this app is. Not in the Apps module or the system module. Spotlight shows no such app. Downloaded Mute Editor and it works OK but can't understand where is TextEdit? Can't find a download site for TextEdit anywhere. Seems all other apps including ILife are running fine. Confusin' Anybody help? |

| First, I would recommend updating to the latest software. (For tiger, it's up to 10.4.11 ) The program itself is in -Finder-applications. (version 1.4) Do you not have the app? |

| You should able to find TextEdit in ~/Applications folder ! |

| Nope. In /Applications, not in ~/Applications. ~/Applications only contains user-installed apps installed in the user's homefolder. ![]() Clean install Tiger and update to 10.4.11. Promise you TextEdit.app is in /Applications ...
