Restore from old backup.

I did restore iPhotos from old backup. Restore was successful. But after the restore I can not see new photos in the iPhoto. It was like as of the date backup was taken. I am in pain to be foolish to assume that restore will not re-write the whole iPhoto.

Any help to get the lost photos?????

Is this through Time Machine or what method did you use to replace the iPhoto Library?
