iTunes not Starting

I'm on a fairly new MacBook Black. I have a strange problem. I recently downloaded & installed an update for iTunes. Now iTunes will not start! I tried deleting & re-installing, which didn't work. Can someone help???

Did you use software update or downloaded it separately?
Have you updated QuickTime as well?

I always use Software Update. When this 1st happened, it was with Software Update. Then I did download & re-install it seperately, with the same result. And, Yeah, I've updated QT, too.

You can view logs using the Console app, in /Applications/Utilities. They are time stamped as well, to help isolate a problem.
Click on the Logs button to bring up individual logs for system, etc..
Also, have you tried disk utility to repair permissions? Usually helps after an install.
If all else fails, trash the preference file. (com.apple.iTunes.plist) home folder~/library/preferences
